Galleria — Terms of Use
Effective date: 26 July 2026
These terms cover Galleria for macOS, published by LightOnCanvas ("we", "our", "us"). By using Galleria you agree to them. They are meant to be readable; where they are less generous than Apple's own Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement, Apple's terms apply instead.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Galleria on any Mac you own or control, in line with the App Store's Terms of Service. You may not redistribute it, sell it, rent it, or attempt to derive its source code.
The 30 days, and what they are
Galleria is free and completely functional for 30 days from first launch. This is not a trial of a subscription — no payment method is taken, nothing is charged, and nothing begins automatically at the end of it. It is simply the app being free for a while so you can decide.
After 30 days, exporting and publishing require a purchase. Everything else keeps working. In particular, and by design:
Your galleries stay open, editable and organisable.
Consolidate Originals is never restricted, so you can always copy every photograph you added back out at full resolution.
Anything you have already published stays published. Those are files on your own server; we neither control nor can remove them.
Subscription terms
Galleria Yearly costs $9.99 per year (US pricing; local prices are set by Apple and shown in the app before you buy).
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
You can manage or cancel it any time in your Apple Account settings, or from Galleria ▸ Settings ▸ Manage Subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period you are in.
There is no introductory offer attached to the subscription. The 30 free days are a property of the app, not of the subscription.
One-time unlock
Galleria Lifetime Unlock costs $29.99 once. It does not renew and cannot lapse. It unlocks exactly the same things as the subscription, on any Mac signed in to the same Apple Account. If you buy it you do not need a subscription, and if you already have a subscription you may cancel it.
Refunds
All purchases are made through Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under their terms — we cannot issue one directly. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If a purchase is refunded, access to exporting and publishing ends; your galleries and photographs are unaffected.
Your content is yours
We claim no ownership of, and no licence to, your photographs, your galleries, or the websites Galleria builds from them. We never receive them. You are responsible for having the right to publish what you publish, and for what you put on your own server.
Your server
When you publish, Galleria connects to a server you specify, with credentials you supply, and writes files there. That server is yours or your host's; we have no relationship with it and no visibility into it. You are responsible for the server, its security, its contents and its bills.
Galleria will only delete files on your server that it can account for from its own record of a previous publish, and only when you explicitly ask it to clean up. Even so, publishing writes to a live server, and you should keep your own backups.
Warranty and liability
Galleria is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of your use of Galleria is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for lost data, lost images, lost time, or lost business. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to the extent permitted, and nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
Keep backups of your photographs. Galleria does not modify your originals, but no software is a substitute for a backup.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this address with its effective date. Material changes will be noted in the app. Your licence ends if you breach these terms, and you may end it at any time by deleting the app.
